Raymond's career started in the Republic of Korea Air Force, where they served as an Intelligence Officer / First Lieutenant from 1997 to 2000.

Raymond (Seok Ho) Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Indiana University Bloomington in the period from 1990 to 1996. Raymond (Seok Ho) then pursued a Master of Business Administration in Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, completing the program from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, they hold a certification as an FAA Single Engine Pilot License from the Federal Aviation Administration.
