Patricia Deps

Patricia Deps is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in dermatology and public health, currently serving as an External Consultant for the World Health Organization's Global Leprosy Programme and as the Coordinator of the AI for Management of Hansen’s Disease project at Hospital Albert Einstein. Deps holds notable positions such as Vice President for the Americas of the International Leprosy Association and Reviewer for the Sasakawa Leprosy Initiative. With a strong academic background that includes a PhD in Dermatology and various postgraduates, Deps also leads the Department of Social Medicine at Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, focusing on medical anthropology, global health, and human rights. Additional experience encompasses roles in research, teaching, and clinical practice in both Brazil and internationally.
