Katie Helgens

Katie Helgens holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. Currently serving as AVP & Assistant Controller at UFG Insurance since May 2024, Katie previously worked at Transamerica from February 2011 to May 2024, where roles included Director of Financial Reporting for Retirement Plans, Employee Benefits, and Stable Value Solutions, as well as various positions in operational risk management and internal controls. Prior experience also includes positions at RSM US LLP, culminating in the role of Assurance Supervisor.
