Dr Monika Tomecka

Dr Monika Tomecka has a wealth of work experience over the past decade. From 2009-2010, they worked as a Guest House Manager for Llwynygog and a Project Manager for SAWARES, a student development organization. In 2010, they began working as a Laboratory Research Assistant and Union Ambassador at Aberystwyth University. In 2013, they took on the role of Marketing Manager for School Dashboard. From 2014-2017, they worked as a Biomedical Researcher for A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research. During this time, they also worked as a Venture Founder for Deep Science Ventures. In 2017, they became the Founding Director of uFraction8 Ltd, a biotechnology equipment provider. Finally, in 2020, they joined MassChallenge Switzerland as a Judge and Mentor.

Dr Monika Tomecka has a diverse educational background. Dr Monika obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Science from The University of Sheffield between 2012 and 2016. In 2014, they completed a Collaborative project in Embryonal Development, Evolution, Genetics at the University of Zurich. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Genetics and Biochemistry from Aberystwyth University between 2009 and 2012. Dr Monika also attended High School in Krakow, Poland, from 2006 to 2009, where they studied Science.
