Barbara Kasekende

Barbara Kasekende has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Barbara is currently serving as the Head of Business Advisory at the Uganda Development Bank, where they provide solutions and support to Ugandans in compliance, business development, governance, and financial management. Prior to this, Barbara worked as a Professional Speaker, advocating for women and youth empowerment in both community and business settings. Barbara also spent several years at Stanbic Bank Uganda, where they held positions such as Corporate Social Investments Manager and Private Banker. In these roles, Barbara focused on promoting sustainability goals, education, and youth empowerment through various projects and initiatives. Additionally, they have experience in business development, marketing, and branding from their time at NFT Consult, Wild Places Africa, and AIG. Overall, Barbara Kasekende has a diverse background and a strong passion for empowerment and business development.

Barbara Kasekende completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management Studies from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Elmhurst University between 1998 and 2002. Additionally, they completed their high school education at Mt. St. Mary's Namagunga from 1994 to 1998.

In terms of certifications, Barbara Kasekende has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications were obtained between September 2020 and June 2021.
