Patricia Ojangole

Managing Director at Uganda Development Bank

Patricia Ojangole began their work experience at Stanbic Bank in 2001 as an Internal Auditor, later advancing to the position of Manager, Internal Audit. Patricia gained experience working in various African countries before leaving the organization in 2011. From 2011 onwards, they joined Uganda Development Bank, initially as the Head of Internal Audit. Patricia'sachievements in this role included transforming the bank's operations and identifying control weaknesses. Patricia then advanced to the position of Managing Director, where they provided new leadership and strategic guidance to enhance stakeholder value and support the government's national development plan.

Patricia Ojangole holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Finance cum laude (1st class) from Stellenbosch University, which they completed in 2018. Patricia also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Executive studies from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, Patricia obtained an FCCA qualification in Accounting from the Association of Certified Public Accountants from 2002 to 2004. Patricia completed their undergraduate degree, a B. Com (Hons.), at Makerere University in 2000. Currently, Patricia is a PhD candidate pursuing a PhD in Development Finance at Stellenbosch University.
