Daniel Muwooya

Daniel Muwooya is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Head of Commercial & Joint Ventures at Uganda National Oil Company Limited since November 2021, Daniel previously held the position of Commercial Manager at the same organization from August 2017 to October 2021. Prior to this, Daniel was the Head of Cost Engineering at the Directorate of Petroleum in Uganda, and served as a Cost Engineer at the Petroleum Exploration and Production Department. Daniel's earlier career included roles as a Quantity Surveyor at Excel Construction and Ridge Consulting. Academically, Daniel holds an M.Sc in Energy Studies from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy at the University of Dundee, a B.Sc in Quantity Surveying from Makerere University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
