Johann Kisekulo has a robust background in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Joint Venture Manager at Uganda National Oil Company Limited since November 2019. Prior to this role, Johann co-founded K-services Limited in 2011 and was the General Manager from August 2015 to October 2019, providing consultancy services in various sectors, including oil and gas exploration, mineral exploration, and groundwater research. Johann also initiated a significant sub-contract with IBES AG for an electronic traceability system project in artisanal gold mining in DR Congo. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor's degree in Geology Mathematics from Makerere University.

Uganda National Oil Company Limited (UNOC) was established under Section 42 of the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act and Section 7 of the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) Act, both of 2013. UNOC was incorporated under the Companies'​ Act of 2012 as a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda. Our overall function is to handle the Government of Uganda's commercial interests in the petroleum sector and to ensure that the resource is exploited in a sustainable manner. OUR VISION To be an innovative and profitable company that operates across the petroleum value chain for the benefit of all Ugandans.
