Monicah Elizabeth Seruma

Monicah Elizabeth Seruma is a seasoned professional in environmental management and climate change, currently serving as Head of Department at Uganda National Roads Authority since January 2016, overseeing the preparation of Resettlement Action Plans and Environmental and Social Impact Statements. Monicah has also held the position of Program Coordinator at the Parliamentary Forum on Climate Change Uganda since November 2014, focusing on public awareness and policy development regarding climate change. Prior experience includes a Civil Affairs Officer role with the United Nations African Union Hybrid Mission in Darfur, where mainstreaming environmental and natural resource management was key, and serving as a Senior Environment Officer in the Ministry of Works and Transport in Uganda. Monicah possesses extensive educational qualifications, including a Master's degree in Environmental Science and various certificates in Climate Change Diplomacy and International Environmental Law.
