Tonny Kalungi

Tonny Kalungi is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Supervisor of the Appeals Section at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) since March 2018, where responsibilities include managing civil and criminal appeals in various courts. Previously, Tonny held positions such as Supervisor of Income Tax Litigation and Litigation Officer within URA's Legal Services and Board Affairs Department. Prior experience includes working as an Advocate at V. Agaba Advocates & Legal Consultants and as an Assistant Lecturer at King Ceasor University, teaching Public International Law and Equity & Trusts. Tonny's early career involved a clerkship at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University, multiple postgraduate diplomas, and a Master of Business Administration in Oil and Gas Management from Uganda Christian University, along with advanced tax qualifications from recognized institutions.
