Saiful Chowdhury

Saiful Chowdhury has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Saiful is currently employed as the Operations Director for Telecommunications at UGL since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Principal at Pivot Consulting Pty Ltd starting from September 2013. Saiful also served as the National Program Manager at Lendlease from November 2017 to March 2022.

In their earlier roles, Saiful held the position of General Manager and Head of Telecommunications at Silcar Communications, a joint venture between Siemens and Thiess, from May 2012 to August 2013. Saiful was responsible for the telecommunications business unit, overseeing design, construction, and maintenance services with an annual revenue of $350M. Saiful has also worked at Visionstream Pty Ltd, another Leighton Group Company, where they held multiple positions including Director of Infrastructure Networks, Project Director for the National Fibre Program, Regional Manager for NSW & ACT, and Construction Manager for Nextgen Networks.

Saiful's career started at Leighton Asia in 1991, where they worked in various engineering and project management roles until 2000. Saiful also gained experience as a Design Engineer at Balfour Beatty Plc from October 1989 to August 1991. Saiful's diverse experience and leadership roles in the telecommunications sector make him a highly qualified professional in the industry.

Saiful Chowdhury completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1985 to 1989. They then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Structural Engineering and Construction Management at the Asian Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1991. In 2020, Saiful Chowdhury enrolled at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and completed their GAICD degree in 2022.
