Syed Murtaza

Syed Murtaza is an experienced design and project management professional specializing in rail infrastructure and technology. Currently serving as Design Manager at UGL since December 2021, Syed oversees engineering, design, and project management for various rail projects, including the Kangy Angy Rail Maintenance Facility and Sydenham Rail Maintenance Center upgrades. Prior roles include Senior Project Engineer at Transport for NSW and Downer, focusing on rail power development and failure reporting engineering, respectively. With a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering, Syed has contributed to significant projects across multiple organizations, demonstrating a strong background in electrical engineering and project coordination.
