Alex Winter

Alex Winter is currently the Director of Security for Optum Care East at UnitedHealth Group, where they support information security in the Eastern United States. Previously, Alex held the role of Director Security Operations at Optum and served as a Principal Information Security Engineer at UnitedHealth Group. They have extensive experience in the field of information security, including positions as a Senior Information Security Analyst at Webster Bank and various roles focused on cybersecurity and risk management. In addition to their professional accomplishments, Alex has performed as an English horn player with both the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Louisville Orchestra. Alex holds a Master of Science in Security and Resilience Studies from Northeastern University.
