Mike Anderson

Mike Anderson is an accomplished healthcare executive with extensive experience in the Medicare sector. Currently serving as President of Government Programs at Optum since August 2021, Mike also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer for Medicare Part D at UnitedHealthcare, overseeing programs that cater to nearly ten million beneficiaries and manage over $35 billion in annual drug expenditures. In addition, Mike has been the Chief Pharmacy Officer for UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement since March 2002, where responsibilities include leading formulary and clinical program strategies. Previously, Mike worked as Product Director for Seniors Programs at Express Scripts from July 1997 to December 2001. Mike Anderson earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota between 1992 and 1996.
