Shannon Sweek

Shannon Sweek (O'Connell) is a strategic and operationally focused health care business executive currently serving as Vice President of Medicare Clinical Value and Affordability at UnitedHealthcare. Shannon has extensive experience leading large teams and has consistently exceeded expectations in roles such as Vice President Operations at Optum and Director of Medicare Clinical Quality Solutions at OptumInsight. A proud resident of Milwaukee, Shannon actively contributes to the community as the president of the Friends of Milwaukee Public Library and is also a library enthusiast. Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Administration from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University.
