Carrie Higgins is an experienced Tertiary Education Leader at Inverness College UHI, where responsibilities have included serving as Interim Head of the School of Construction and the Built Environment and Programme Leader for Architectural Technology and Civil Engineering. Since joining the institution in August 2009, Carrie has focused on developing the Civil Engineering programme from senior phase through to BEng (Hons) and has coordinated various educational offerings in the field. Prior to this role, Carrie worked as a Graduate Engineer at Morrison Construction from May 2001 to July 2009. Educational accomplishments include a PGCert in Civil Engineering and Construction Management (2021-2023) and a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering (2001-2006) from Heriot-Watt University, along with a Teaching Qualification in Further Education from the University of Stirling.
