Avtar Dhillon

Avtar Dhillon, MD, DLFAPA, DFASAM, serves as the Medical Director at UHS since 2003, providing medical oversight for adolescent services and leadership to medical staff. Prior to this role, Avtar held the position of Medical Director at Diamond Healthcare from July 2013 to June 2021, responsible for medical oversight at The Williamsburg Place Campus and leading various clinical activities. Avtar also acted as Medical Director at Colonial Behavioral Health from May 1999 to June 2013, overseeing all medical services, and previously supervised adult programs at Eastern State Hospital from 1985 to 1999. Avtar earned medical degrees from both Government Medical College and Guru Nanak Dev University in Punjab from 1972 to 1977.
