Melissa LeMieux

Melissa LeMieux has a diverse work experience in various roles within the furniture and design industry. Melissa currently serves as the Vice President of Sales at Uhuru Design, a Brooklyn-based furniture design firm. In this role, they focus on market strategy, strategic growth, and industry education. Prior to joining Uhuru Design, Melissa worked as the Director of Business Development at CreativeOfficeResources, where they created inspiring workspaces using creative problem-solving, modern materials, and classic designs. Before that, they served as the Market Development Manager at Blu Dot and the Architecture & Design Manager at HBF. Melissa also worked as a freelance design consultant at LeMieux Maison, specializing in design consulting and market strategy. Melissa has experience in strategic sales and business development as the Strategic Sales and Business Development Manager at HEARTWORK, Inc. and as an Account Manager at David Sutherland Inc. Melissa began their career as an Industrial and Interior Designer at LeMieux Maison, where they worked on various projects including interior design, custom furniture fabrication, and branding. Melissa also worked as a Territory Manager at Ebanista, Inc. and as a Manager and Assistant Buyer at italmoda, where they managed showrooms and offered design services.

Melissa LeMieux completed their high school education at Northville High School from 1994 to 1997. Melissa then pursued their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Interior Design from San Diego Mesa College from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, they also obtained a certificate in Textiles from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. Finally, Melissa completed their higher education by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial and Product Design from Metropolitan State University of Denver from 2009 to 2013.
