Dr Divine Obenndip has a well-rounded work experience in various technical roles within the engineering and chemical industries. Dr Divine Obenndip, began their career at The Dow Chemical Company as a Run Plant Engineer from 2007 to 2010. Dr Divine Obenndip, then joined Shell and held various technical roles in GTL Technology, FEED, Process Engineering (Offshore), and LNG Operations from 2010 to 2016. Following this, they worked at Eindhoven University of Technology as a Guest Lecturer/Supervisor in LNG Technology from 2015 to 2016. Dr Obenndip then joined Cumulus Energy Storage as a Lead Chemical Engineer in 2016. After their time at Cumulus, they worked at AIG as an Account Risk Engineer for Oil & (Petro)Chemical industry until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head - Engineering Risk Consultants at United Insurance Brokers Limited.
Dr Divine Obenndip completed their education in Chemical Engineering. Dr Divine Obenndip, obtained their MPhil/PhD degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Process Intensification from The University of Manchester in 2006. Prior to that, they received a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Buea in 1999.
In terms of additional certifications, Dr Obenndip is a Professional Process Safety Engineer, certified by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), which they obtained in April 2021. Dr Divine Obenndip, is also a Chartered Chemical Engineer, certified by the Engineering Council, which they obtained in 2012. Additionally, they hold a Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) certification.
