Michelle Carns

Michelle Carns possesses extensive experience in marine transportation and environmental science, currently serving as a Senior Advisor to the CMTS Supply Chain and Resilience Integrated Action Teams at UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies since September 2022. Prior to this role, Michelle worked as a Marine Transportation Specialist for multiple companies, including Eagle Harbor, LLC, Shearwater Systems, LLC, and Rolling Bay LLC, where responsibilities included providing technical support services for the U.S. Coast Guard and overseeing the approval of Vessel Response Plans in compliance with federal regulations. Michelle also has a background in education, having taught biology at the high school level, and holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science and Marine Sciences from Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, respectively.
