Ron Hansen

Director of Laboratory Services at Uintah Basin Medical Center

Ron Hansen has a diverse work experience that includes roles in healthcare and sculpture. Ron started their career in 1993 as a Medical Technologist at Uintah Basin Healthcare, where they worked in various areas of the laboratory and was responsible for instrument maintenance and reporting patient results. Ron later became a Laboratory Manager, overseeing the function of the main laboratory site and handling budget planning, quality management, and maintaining laboratory accreditation. In 2013, they became the Director of Laboratory Services, responsible for the overall laboratory function at three different sites and maintaining accreditation. In addition to their healthcare experience, Ron has a passion for sculpting and has created life-like fantasy sculptures of dragons, skulls, and orcs under the name MonsterhedZ.

Ron Hansen received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General from Utah State University from 1991 to 1996. Ron also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the same institution. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Medical Technologists in May 2012.
