Ed Sykes

Ed Sykes, PhD, possesses extensive experience in communications and public relations within the healthcare and scientific sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at UK Biobank, Ed has held key positions including Trustee at Freshwater Habitats Trust and various roles at Huma and Babylon Health, where responsibilities included leading PR and communications efforts. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Mental Health & Neuroscience and Senior Press Officer at the Science Media Centre. Ed earned a PhD in Evolutionary Biology from The University of Edinburgh and an MBiolSci in Zoology from The University of Sheffield.
