Gill Ormrod

Gill Ormrod is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in external communications and marketing management. Currently, Gill serves as the Senior External Communications Manager at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology since February 2023. Previously held positions include Group Marketing Manager at Rosebourne, where Gill was part of the Executive Board overseeing marketing strategy, and Communications Advisor at AIPH, focusing on communications strategy and web development. Gill spent over a decade at the Horticultural Trades Association, initially as PR Manager and later as Communications Manager, leading communication initiatives and managing a press office. Earlier experience includes serving as Senior Press Officer at the Science and Technology Research Council, supporting a multidisciplinary scientific community. Gill holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Resources from The University of Salford and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from The University of Manchester.
