Rhett Hatcher

Rhett Hatcher currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the UK Chamber of Shipping since March 2024. Prior to this role, Rhett held significant positions at the UK Hydrographic Office, including UK National Hydrographer and Deputy Chief Executive, overseeing data acquisition and defense from September 2020 to July 2023. Rhett's experience in the UK Ministry of Defence from February 2018 to September 2020 encompassed roles such as Deputy Director for International Security and Head of Military Operations. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Head of Futures & Strategic Analysis at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom from September 2016 to December 2017 and Commanding Officer of HMS Protector from March 2013 to December 2014. Rhett holds a Master's degree in Defence Studies from King's College London and has completed various defense and leadership programs, including the Company Directors Course from the Institute of Directors.
