Stevie Jones

Stevie Jones serves as Chief of Staff to the Director General of the Strategy Group at the Department for Education, leading private office and corporate services teams since September 2018. Previously, as Chief of Staff for COVID Response Measures, Stevie managed the deployment of resources and coordinated significant COVID-related initiatives affecting education and childcare in England. Other roles include Deputy Chief of Staff to the Permanent Secretary and Head of Strategy, Governance, and Finance within the Department for Education, as well as positions at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and diverse experiences in the Civil Service Fast Stream. Stevie holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Durham University.
