Richard Grimshaw is a highly experienced barrister specializing in clinical negligence, inquests, and personal injury law at No5 Barristers' Chambers since October 2010. Richard has a diverse practice, representing both claimants and defendants, including organizations such as NHSR and the Ministry of Defence. Additionally, Richard serves as Senior Junior Counsel to the UK Covid-19 Inquiry and holds multiple roles within the Ministry of Justice UK, including Recorder and Deputy King's Bench Master. Richard also has experience as H.M. Assistant Coroner for Birmingham and Solihull. UK Covid-19 Inquiry
This is the independent public inquiry to examine the UK’s preparedness and response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and to learn lessons for the future. The Inquiry has been established under the Inquiries Act 2005. This means that the Chair will have the power to compel the production of documents and call witnesses to give evidence on oath.
