Cecelia Yeary has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2011, they interned as a Hospital Administration Intern at the University of Kentucky HealthCare, where they observed daily activities and assisted with projects for various Hospital Administrators. This experience motivated their to pursue further education in the field.
Cecelia then worked as a Customer Relations staff member from 2011 to 2012, where they served as a wayfinder for patients and families and provided information and support at information desks. From 2012 to 2013, they were promoted to Customer Relations Team Lead, taking on managerial duties and overseeing the creation and maintenance of publications and maps.
In 2013, Yeary joined UK HealthCare as a Patient Experience Manager, focusing on enhancing patient satisfaction. Cecelia then transitioned to roles such as Administrative Fellow, where they gained exposure to senior-level decision-making processes, and as Administrative Director of the Digestive Health Service Line, responsible for coordinating the professional, clinical, and financial performance of the service line.
Their most recent role was at Baptist Health Lexington as the Vice President Cardiovascular, Oncology, & Clinical Support, starting in December 2022. In this capacity, they hold leadership responsibilities in cardiovascular, oncology, and clinical support services.
Cecelia Yeary obtained a Master of Healthcare Administration degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Kentucky from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications degree in Communications and Business from the University of Kentucky from 2007 to 2011. In addition, they obtained a Workplace Violence Prevention Certificate from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) in 2022.
