Mark Newman

Mark Newman is an accomplished healthcare executive currently serving as the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs at UK HealthCare since September 2017. Prior to this role, Mark held significant leadership positions at Duke Private Diagnostic Clinic as President and Merel H. Harmel Professor, and at Duke University Medical Center with a distinguished career in anesthesiology, including roles such as Professor, Vice Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology, and Chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. Mark's extensive experience also includes being Chairman of the Duke University Department of Anesthesiology and Medical Director of the Global Perioperative Research Organization. Educationally, Mark earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, following a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Western Kentucky University.
