Alex Howard

Alex Howard has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2005, they worked as a Principal Business Consultant at Detica until 2010. Alex then joined Royal Mail Group as a Strategy Manager from 2011 to 2015. Following this, they worked as the Head of Strategy at Origami Energy from 2015 to 2021. In 2021, they became the Director of Research at the Centre for Net Zero, where they played a key role in establishing the research lab and shaping an agent-based simulation for policy makers. Currently, they hold the position of Product Manager in the DSO Market Platform at UK Power Networks since 2022. Additionally, they are also the Head of Flexibility Markets at UK Power Networks since 2023.

From 2000 to 2003, Alex Howard attended the University of Cambridge and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science.
