Jamie Bright

Jamie Bright is an accomplished professional in the fields of data science and renewable energy, currently serving as the DSO Data Science & Development Manager at UK Power Networks since September 2021, leading a team in producing software to support operational needs. Prior to this role, Jamie held positions including DSO Forecasting Lead, Associate Editor for the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy at AIP Publishing, and Senior Research Fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore, where a fully operational solar forecasting tool was developed. Jamie also has a solid academic background, holding a PhD in Solar Resource Modelling from the University of Leeds, along with various research and consulting roles focused on solar energy advancements and forecasting methodologies.
