John Roberts - McHem

John Roberts is currently working as the Head of Risk & Assurance at UK Power Networks since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Finance Transformation & Internal Control at OVO from 2021 to 2022. From 2016 to 2020, they held various senior leadership roles at Centrica, including Head of Controls Transformation and Head of Integrated Assurance/Internal Audit - Commodity Trading and Finance. John also worked at BP from 2009 to 2016, where they held positions such as Head of Investment Governance, Financial Controller, and Business Development. Before that, they worked as a Financial Controls Manager at Centrica from 2006 to 2009 and started their career as an Audit Executive at PwC from 2001 to 2005.

John Roberts earned a MChem degree in Chemistry from the University of Exeter, attending from 1997 to 2001. John later obtained the FCA certification from ICAEW in September 2015. Additionally, they hold an ACA certification from ICAEW, although the specific month and year of obtaining it are unknown.
