UK Young Academy
Abdalrhaman M. Koko is a Senior Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory, specializing in the micromechanics of advanced alloys since June 2022, following a role as a Higher Scientist focused on experimental testing and characterization of materials across various scales. Abdalrhaman is also an Academic Visitor at the University of Oxford and an Editorial Board Member for Proceedings of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences since June 2023, as well as a Founding Member of the UK Young Academy, established in January 2023. Previous positions include Junior Dean at St Cross College, Oxford, and Teaching Assistant in the Physics and Materials Departments at the University of Oxford. Abdalrhaman has a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Oxford, an MS in Corrosion Control Engineering from The University of Manchester, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Sudan University of Science and Technology.
