Ana Blanco

Ana Blanco is a prominent academic and researcher specializing in advanced construction materials and methods, currently serving as a Reader and Senior Lecturer in Infrastructure Engineering at Loughborough University since November 2017. In addition to these roles, Ana is a member of the UK Young Academy and has co-founded Smart Engineering, where contributions as a Partner and Senior Researcher were made from June 2013 to May 2019. Prior academic experience includes postdoctoral and research collaboration roles at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, alongside visiting researcher positions at Loughborough University and TU Delft. Ana Blanco holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering, both from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
