Rachel Tough

Rachel Tough is a member of the UK Young Academy, contributing to the development of emerging leaders across various sectors since March 2024. Rachel serves on the UKRI Talent Peer Review College, assessing funding applications for the UK's Research Councils since February 2023. As an Associate Tutor at the University of East Anglia, Rachel supervises postgraduate dissertations and previously taught 'Introduction to Anthropology.' Past roles include Teaching Fellow at SOAS University of London, Fellow at Cumberland Lodge, and Senior Researcher at the Greater London Authority, where Rachel led a research team focused on social and environmental justice. Rachel's academic qualifications include a PhD from the University of East Anglia, an MA in International Development from the University of Manchester, and a BA in East Asian Studies from the University of Sheffield.
