Sean McGregor

Sean McGregor is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as the Founding Director at UL Research Institutes since June 2023, where efforts focus on developing open source systems to enhance digital safety. McGregor is also engaged as a member of the OECD.AI Network of Experts and the AI and Media Integrity Steering Committee under Partnership on AI, collaborating with notable organizations to address AI-related challenges. Previous roles include founding the Responsible AI Collaborative, serving as Technical Lead for the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE, and contributing as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Syntiant Corp. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from Oregon State University and a BA from Claremont McKenna College.
