Amanda LaValle currently serves as the Deputy County Executive for Ulster County, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Amanda was the Deputy Director of the Ulster County Planning Department from August 2021 to March 2023 and previously directed the Ulster County Department of the Environment from February 2008 to August 2021, coordinating environmental policy and programs for county government. Amanda's experience includes managing the Watershed Conservation Corps at SUNY Ulster and working as an Environmental Scientist for Barton and Loguidice. Early career accomplishments include serving as a Wetland Ecology Research Assistant at Cornell University. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Society from Cornell University, a Graduate Certificate in Climate Resilience for Professionals from Antioch University New England, and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from SUNY Empire State College.
