Peter Criswell

Peter Criswell is an experienced leader in nonprofit management and public service, currently serving as the Ulster County Legislator and Chair of the Legislature since January 2024. With a robust history in nonprofit leadership, Peter has spearheaded capital campaigns, including a $1.3 million initiative at the Hudson River Maritime Museum. Previous roles include Executive Director positions at the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center and the Dharmakaya Center for Wellbeing, alongside impactful tenures at Omega Institute and Big Apple Performing Arts, where successful financial strategies were implemented. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Bard College, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Manhattanville University, and various certifications in program design and entrepreneurial success.
