Karen Reese

Karen Reese, MBA, RHIA, is an experienced professional in Health Information Technology, currently serving as the HIT Practicum and Certification Specialist at Ultimate Medical Academy since December 2011. In this role, Karen manages HIT Practicum Courses, facilitates the RHIT Prep Course for graduates, and monitors student progress. Previously, Karen held the position of Associate Program Director at Ultimate Medical Academy, where responsibilities included mentoring adjunct faculty and coordinating student practicums. With extensive teaching experience at DCCCD and DeVry University, Karen has instructed various courses in Health Information Technology. Prior to academia, Karen worked at Parkland Hospital as Associate Director, overseeing operations related to audits and electronic health record management. Karen holds an MBA in Management from Amberton University and a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management from Texas Woman's University.
