Derrick Woo

Director New Product Introduction (npi) at Ultra Clean Technologies

Derrick Woo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Derrick started their career in 1994 as a Test Technician/MFG Engineer at Varian Semiconductor, where they built and tested Varian Thin Film System tools. Derrick then moved on to Novellus Systems in 1997 as a Mechanical Engineering Manager. At Novellus Systems, their role is not specified, but they worked there until 2004.

After their time at Novellus Systems, Woo joined Pacific Athletic Club in 1990 as a Catering employee and stayed until 2003.

In 2004, Woo joined Ultra Clean Technology as a Project Engineer, managing build-to-print and design projects for various customers. Derrick then progressed to the role of Engineering Manager in 2012, where they managed a team of engineers designing chemical delivery systems and provided design services for new and established customers. In 2014, Woo was promoted to Director of Engineering, where they continued to manage engineers and also oversaw a Global Document Control Team of 8. Currently, Woo serves as the Director of New Product Introduction (NPI) at Ultra Clean Technology, leading a team of 15 NPI PM members across the world and responsible for on-boarding customer products using a standardized process.
