Joe Velez has held a variety of roles in the manufacturing and distribution industries. Joe began their career in 1989 at Alcoa as a Chief Industrial Engineer and Strategic Planner, where they were responsible for a team of up to 30 Industrial and Manufacturing Engineers. In 1995, they were promoted to Business Unit Manager - Enterprise Business and Supply Chain Systems, where they implemented new ERP Order to Cash business processes across all business unit locations. In 2009, they moved to Constellium (formerly Rio Tinto Alcan) as Director - North American Supply Chain Optimization, Raw Material, Logistics and Outside Fabrication. In 2010, they joined Oystar North America as Vice President/Director - Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Lean Processes. In 2011, they moved to HNI Corporation as Director - Supply Chain Transformation Program. In 2016, they joined Ultra Consultants as Managing Director, Client Services and later as Service Delivery Manager and Senior Consultant.
Joe Velez attended the University of Puerto Rico from 1973 to 1982, where they earned a BS/MS in Industrial Engineering.
