Cory Bystrom

Cory Bystrom has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Cory is currently serving as the Senior Director of Bioanalytical Chemistry at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. Prior to this, they worked at Cedars-Sinai as the Director of Precision Biomarker Laboratories.

Before joining Cedars-Sinai, Cory held various roles at Cleveland HeartLab, Inc., including Executive Director and Director of Research and Development.

Cory also gained valuable experience at Quest Diagnostics, where they served as an Associate Scientific Director and Principal Research Scientist.

Earlier in their career, they worked as the Proteomics Lab Director at Oregon Health and Science University and as a Senior Scientist at Fonterra. Cory began their career as a Postdoc at Pharmacia and Upjohn.

Cory Bystrom earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Oregon, attending from 1993 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained an MS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying between 1986 and 1993.
