Eric Knight

Eric Knight has a significant amount of experience in environment, health, and safety (EHS), as well as sustainability roles. Eric has held leadership positions in various pharmaceutical companies such as Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., AstraZeneca, MedImmune, and Pfizer. In their most recent role as the Global Head of EHS & Sustainability at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., they established and implemented the company's EHS and ESG strategy, resulting in improved ESG ratings and the publication of an ESG report. Prior to this, they served as the Global Head of EHS and Sustainability at AstraZeneca, leading a large team and driving culture change within the organization. Eric also has experience in managing EHS teams and ensuring regulatory compliance during their time at MedImmune and Pfizer. Before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, they served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant, responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of nuclear submarines. Eric Knight holds a B.S. in Engineering from Auburn University, obtained between 1990 and 1993. Eric also earned an MBA in Finance from California Lutheran University, completed between 2008 and 2012. In addition, they have obtained certifications including Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS International, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
