Neil James

Neil James has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry spanning over several decades. Neil is currently working at Ultragenyx as the Vice President (VP) of Patient Diagnosis Programs since December 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Ultragenyx, including VP of Marketing & Sales, Metabolics from March 2020 to November 2022, and VP of Marketing from February 2018 to March 2020.

Before joining Ultragenyx, Neil worked at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., where they served as an Executive Director in different capacities. These roles included Global MPS Marketing from June 2016 to January 2018, DMD Global Marketing from March 2015 to May 2016, PKU Marketing from March 2014 to March 2015, and Senior Director of PKU Marketing from October 2010 to February 2014.

Neil also has experience at other companies such as bioStrategies Group, where they worked as a Principal from January 2008 to February 2009. Neil held the position of Senior Director of Commercial Operations at Novartis/Chiron Biopharmaceuticals from April 2005 to September 2007. At Cerner Corporation, they served as the Director of Business Development from July 2002 to March 2005.

Neil started their career as a Consultant at Independant and later worked as a General Manager at Lowe Healthcare. Neil also served as the Senior Vice President at Frank J Corbett and the SVP Director of Client Services at Medicus Intercon International.
