Steve Maricich

Steve Maricich is the Head of Neurology for Clinical Development at Ultragenyx, beginning in September 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Medical Officer at Ashvattha Therapeutics, Inc. from October 2022 to August 2024, and Chief Medical Officer at both Calibr at Scripps Research and Scripps BioVentures from August 2021 to October 2022. Steve held the position of Acting Chief Medical Officer at Grace Science, LLC from March to November 2021 and was Chief Medical Officer at Allievex Corporation from November 2019 to July 2021. Prior roles also include Senior Medical Director at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. and Assistant Professor/Attending Physician at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine/Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC from January 2013 to May 2016. An educational background comprises a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a PhD in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, a Pediatrics Residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, and a Child Neurology Fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital. Undergraduate studies culminated in a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University at Buffalo.
