Bernardo Pinheiro has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Bernardo began their career as a Trainee at Repsol, where they gained exposure to finance, logistics, and market analysis. Bernardo then moved on to roles at A.P. Moller - Maersk, starting as a Commercial Assistant in Brazil and eventually becoming a Tanker Broker in New York and an Operations Manager in Copenhagen. Following this, they joined Ultranav, first as General Manager of Projects in Chile and later as Head of Brazil, overseeing the establishment and growth of a joint venture offering marine logistics solutions. Most recently, they held the position of Country Manager for Brazil at AET before transitioning to their current role as Director of Commercial and Institutional Relations for Ultranav in Brazil. Bernardo's experience is marked by successful business development, commercial negotiations, and people management responsibilities across various sectors of the maritime industry.

Bernardo Pinheiro completed a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 1998 to 2002. Bernardo then pursued Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE) at Maersk Shipping Academy from 2003 to 2005, focusing on Shipping and Logistics. In 2005, they obtained an MBA in Management of Oil & Gas Development Projects from IBP - Brazilian Institute of Oil Gas and Biofuels. In 2018, Bernardo attended an extension course in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies at Harvard Business School. Additionally, they received certifications in Foundational Principles of Leadership from HarvardX in 2021 and Leader as a Coach from Bluepoint Leadership Development in 2020.
