Kevin Yang has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2015 as a Certified Lifeguard and Club Maintenance at the Cupertino Hills Swim & Racquet Club. In 2020, they co-founded UltraVision. In 2021, they were an Undergraduate Senior Capstone Project Team Lead at NXgenPort and an Undergraduate Researcher at the King PAPR Lab at UC Irvine. Currently, they are an Application Engineer at UltraSense Systems and a Manufacturing Specialist 1 at Illumina. At Illumina, they perform precise optical alignments for MiSeq product, documents and communicates exact manufacturing procedures, and assists in the assembly line. At NXgenPort, they partnered with a startup company to help develop a smart port using 3D printing methods, SolidWorks, and optic principles. At the King PAPR Lab, they are creating a portable negative airway pressure respirator, designing CAD models, and developing software infrastructure to facilitate data collection and analysis of infectious particle filtration.
Kevin Yang obtained a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC Irvine between 2018 and 2022. Kevin also obtained a CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross in February 2022.
