Sina Akhbari is the Co-Founder and Chief Sensor Architect at UltraSense Systems, a company that specializes in designing and manufacturing ultrasonic sensors. Akhbari has over ten years of experience in the field of sensor development, with a focus on MEMS-based sensors. Prior to joining UltraSense Systems, Akhbari worked as a Senior MEMS Development Engineer and Senior Product Engineer at TDK InvenSense, where they were responsible for the study and design of ultrasound fingerprint sensors. Akhbari has also worked as a Graduate Researcher at the Marvell Nanofabrication Laboratory and as an R&D Engineer at BURL Concepts Inc. In addition to their work in the private sector, Akhbari has also interned at Shayan Co., a German brand Weishaupt oil and gas burners representative, and at Parand Gas Turbine Power Plant.

Sina Akhbari has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. They also have a Master's in the same field from UC Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
