Nick McCain

Nick McCain has a work experience spanning over 15 years. Nick began their career as a Staff member at Toll Brothers in 2008, where they worked until 2013. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a Guest Services Captain at Osprey's Landing at Belmont Bay. In 2016, they joined Defense Point Security, LLC as a Network and Security Administrator and later transitioned to become a Security Engineer, specifically serving as the MSSP Engineering Team Lead. During their time there, they supported multiple customers in various areas of cybersecurity, including Endpoint Detection and Response, Network security, Vulnerability Management, SIEM support and content development, and other SOC functions. Nick also managed and configured Atlassian Jira for the team. In 2019, they moved to Fluor Idaho, where they worked as a Cyber Security Engineer until 2020. Nick then joined FLUOR IDAHO, LLC as a Cyber Security Specialist and worked until 2021. Nick'smost recent position is at Stage 2 Security, where they worked as a Security Engineer from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Nick McCain is employed as a Security Engineer at UltraViolet Cyber.

Nick McCain graduated from Western Governors University with a Master's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance in 2022. Prior to that, they attended Southern Virginia University from 2009 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government. Nick'searlier education includes attending Ashville College from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained GCSE and A-level qualifications in Biology, Maths, and Business.

In addition to their formal education, Nick McCain has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2021, they became a Splunk Core Certified Power User and a Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, both from Splunk. Nick also earned the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council in 2021. Furthermore, in 2016, they received the Security+ certification from CompTIA.
