Julie Trent, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Julie Trent, SHRM-SCP, SPHR has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources and Risk Management. Julie began their career in 1996 as a Children's Social Worker for the Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services. In 2001, they worked as a Career/Employment Counselor for Lockheed Martin Information Technology, and as a Human Resources Project Manager for the North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC). In 2005, they became the Human Resources Manager for Palladeo, a leading provider of environmental design, fixture fabrication, and construction services to the retail industry. In 2009, they were promoted to Director of Human Resources for UltraViolet Devices, Inc., an ISO 9001-2008 certified manufacturer and supplier of UV-C products. In 2006, they served as the District 4 Chairperson for PIHRA. Throughout their career, Julie has achieved results such as successfully developing and launching a comprehensive risk management program that produced an ROI of over $1M, implementing process improvement with accountability, and coordinating benefits with outside agencies that decreased annual funding cost by $700,000.

Julie Trent holds a BS in Communications from California State University, Northridge. Julie also has a Diploma in Advanced Program in Human Resource Management from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Additionally, they hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Julie is also a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certified from SHRM (HRCI). Finally, they are certified as a SHRM-SCP from SHRM.
