Ashley Akerman

Ashley Akerman has had a varied and extensive work experience. From 2021, they have been a Senior Clinical Research Scientist and a Clinical Research Scientist at Ultromics. From 2019, they have been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Ottawa. From 2013, they have held a number of roles at the University of Otago, including Associate Research Fellow, Teaching Assistant, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow, and Laboratory Demonstrator.

Ashley Akerman began their education in 2006 at Lawrence Sheriff School 6th Form. Ashley then attended Liverpool John Moores University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sport and Exercise Science (Physiology). Ashley continued their studies at the University of Otago, graduating in 2018 with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Exercise Physiology.
